So I've switched to bat tape. Is there a difference between different kinds? What should I be using and why also where to buy? I think I'm using black athletic tape that's 1.5" across....

I roll with the Muellers tape from SA or Richards. I think there's more impact on the gloves used versus the tape brand...

I got mine from SA but it was with all the knee braces and body wraps etc... So wondered if Im using the wrong stuff, works but wondered if something better. I'll look into hockey tape.

I use Howies hockey tape. I buy it at Pias. Hockey tape seems stickier than regular athletic tape.

1" renfrew hockey tape. I get it at an old PIAS connect to a roller hockey rink so they stock a crap load of it. Way tackier than the stuff you get at the big box stores.

Frictiom tape from True Value, used to get from Orchard. Basically get the stuff made in Mexico or USA as it has a lot of sticky on it, the chinese stuff from Lowes might as well be hockey tape

I use that type and then put a layer of friction tape over it. I can't tell a difference between cloth athletic tape and hockey tape to be honest. Friction tape is hella sticky.

I took off the stock grips and tried hockey tape from Canadian Technical Tape eh. 84' roll for like $5. Wraps good and it molded to my grip at the taper. No complaints eh. I wrapped with a single layer 10" up just to make it legal for the nit pickers. I like the feel of a very thin round handle(it's what I'm used to anyway).
