I really think UF will end up with the #1 class this year in recruiting. Things are shaping up nicely

Arkansas returns a ton next year as well.

We get them (and yall) as the 2 teams from the SEC West... And Georgia gets Auburn and Ole Miss... Hard not to have UGA as the pre-season pick to win the East in 2012... I think we will be 2nd, Florida 3rd... and maybe Missou 4th...

Florida only had 64 on scholarship going into the 2011 season. They can sign 28 back filling 3 and still get them all into school as true freshmen in August and STILL not be at 85. They have 9 slots left and immediate playing time to offer. This is all true so yall could possible pull it off but only bc of this.. the thing bout it is that florida had a number one class few years back and look what yall did with it so it doesnt really matter

No doubt UGA's schedule is soft for the upcoming year but it cycles through. Georgia rival's should be happy for the joke of a schedule this and next year. It saved Richt's job for at least a couple of more seasons.

I dont agree. They are full and Florida has a great chance to catch them.

What site are you talking about here? No one will beat the Gumps on Rivals. It's run by Gumps and they have a "secret formula" to rank players. There was a player a couple of years ago that they moved to center so they could rank him #1 and give more points to Bama. The kid laughed about it and said he'd never played center in his life. On Scout, Florida might catch them.

ETA: The player was Barrett Jones.

Whether it's Rivals or not, Bama's class is just sick on paper. Never know how it's going to play out through the next 3-4 years though.

UF has 8 Early Enrollees. UF is looking and most likely will finish off with serious star power. They have a great chance to finish off with

1. Tracy Howard 5 * CB
2. Nelson Agholor 5* WR
3. Stefon Diggs 5* WR
4. Jordan Jenkins 5* DE
5. Dante Fowler 4* DE
6. Darius Hamilton 5* DE
7. Schuyler Miles 3* FB

Yea that 2010 class has been so bad. Sure there has been a lot of transfers, but who can really be expected when your head coach and entire staff leaves?

1. Chris Martin 5* OLB - Booted from team after failed drug test
2. Chaz Green 4* OT - Starting LT
3. Darrin Kitches 3* OLB- Second string OLB who played good amount
4. Tyler Murphy 2* QB- Will never play, spread QB
5. Michael Taylor 4* MLB- Second string MLB, played good amount
6. Ronald Powell- 5* DE- Started most and played in every game for 2 years
7. Sharrif Floyd- 5* DT- Started most and played in every game for 2 years
8. Matt Elam- 5* S- Started most and played in every game for 2 years
9. Dominique Easley- 5* DT- Started this entire year, will be a star, tore ACL
10. Chris Dunkley- 5* WR- Will kicked off team for attitude issues, USF now
11. Robert Clark - 3* WR- Transferred to Louisville, Spread WR
12. Cody Riggs - 4* CB- Starting CB
13. Joshua Shaw- 4* CB- Transferred to UCLA, homesick
14. Lynden Trail- 4* DE- Transferring. 210 pound DE's dont do well in SEC
15. Quinton Dunbar-3* WR- Starting WR
16. Neiron Ball 4* OLB- Brain aneurysm issue, will prolly never play
17. Mack Brown - 4* RB- Cant grasp blocking so far, still RSFresh.
18. Solomon Patton - 4* WR- Punt returner, spot WR duty.
19. Gerald Christan- 4* TE- Transferred to Louisville with Robert Clark.
20. Jordan Haden- 4* S- Transferred closer to home (Maryland)
21. Jaylen Watkins 4* CB- Starter
22. Gideon Ajagbe- 3* OLB- Special teams guy so far. RSFresh
23. Leon Orr 4* DT- Starting DT
24. Michael McFarland- 4* TE- Transferred
25. Jonathan Dowling - 4* S- Transferred
26. Trey Burton 3* QB- Started every game in career
27. Ian SIlberman 4 * OT- Next years starting RT.

So for a break down

27 in the class.
8 transfers which is about right for a coaching change.
10 were starters this year.
4 will start or see significant playing time next year.
5 IMO will never play.

Not quite the total failure you are portraying for a class that has only been on campus for two years.

The rankings don't matter as much as how they develop as players, who stays, who transfers, etc...

Thats true to an extent, but to be elite, you often times need elite players also..Many schools will never win it all or come close for that reason..

Sounds like it will be Shannon or Zook at AU. Im ok with either, Shannon is the better coach, but Zook is a better recruiter

I agree, you gotta have the players, but you never know how they will turn out.

Examples: Robert Lester, 5 star, rarely saw field at Alabama, transferred to South Alabama, not seeing much playing time down there.

Star Jackson, 4 star, never got on field at Alabama, transferred to Georgia St?, could not get on field there, and program was in 1st year of existence

Marcel Dareus, 3 star, 3rd overall pick of NFL draft
