Force out ?

Bases are loaded, 1 out. Batter hits a ground ball to the third baseman. The runner stays on third base and is tagged by the third baseman who then steps on the third base. How many outs are recorded ?

I think if he did it in that order two outs. If he stepped on third first and then applied the tag one out because the force is off at that point. Of course I'm just a layman lol.

Inning over, switch em up! You got the last 2 on that play. Always tag a runner remaining on a base before touching the base to ensure you get the out on the runner being forced off the base before the getting the force on the runner advancing to the base. Touching the base first removes the force on the runner that remained on the base, and they can no longer be tagged out if they stay on the base.
