Fundraiser tournament bracket

Hey sbfs,I have a fundraiser tournament coming up and was looking for the best bracket for my situation. I have one field,8 teams,we can play ball from 8am-11pm after 11 there going to charge $100 a hour.i wanted them to have a 3 game gurantee.what is the best option?

8 team Tournament
2 Groups of 4 teams
Play each team in your group once
Top 2 teams from each group advance to single elimination bracket
Start at 8, done by 11
Play 50 minute games to keep things on schedule

Round robin is the way to go. Then take top 4 with a power ranking com RR. W/L and points scored. Top 4 play single elimination until championship maybe best of 3 if time allows.

Have all the teams play two seed games, and then compete in a single elem. bracket. We do this with pretty much all of our one pitch tournies.

8 teams, 1 field is a disaster.

If you can't get more fields don't do it. A lot of people throwing out ideas seem to be missing that fact.

You are looking at 3-4hrs breaks between each god damn game. I'd shoot myself to sit there for 12hrs and play 3 games total. DISASTER.
