Glove lining question

I am working on a Rawlings glove with a "Deer Skin" lining (it actually feels like deer skin rather than deer tanned cowhide). When I opened it up, I saw that the lining is actually a sandwich of deerskin and cowhide layers back to back (rough side to rough side). While the hidden cowhide half is well adhered to the shell with adhesive goo, the deerskin is loose from the steerhide and there is no sign that it was ever bonded together with adhesive. The owner noticed that the adhesive was dried up (and wanted me to add more adhesive), but I cannot get into that space without shooting goo through one of the holes used for the palm lace.

Any thoughts or suggestions?
