That's the logical answer we all said but according to the umps only the runner from 3rd scored because the runner on second would not be forced of his base therefore he was awarded only 3rd. Sounded like bs to me

All runners are awarded 2 bases from time of pitch... how did your protest turn out?

Home plate blue just continued to say that's how the rule was and that it didn't make sense but that's the way it is. At the time the game was fairly one sided and it was too hot to keep arguing about it

Well you don't argue about it. You say we are playing under protest. What you don't understand is now you've put the problem onto the next team that has that situation come up. Instead of protesting and having that umpire learn the rule and informing the LD that the umpire he has on the field doesn't know a basic rule, you've now allowed another team to have to deal with it and futher confused the other team you were playing.

protesting not only benefits you it benefits everyone else in the league
