Break it down as much as possible, hose it out, wipe down with a sponge, and then lay it in the sun? I don't have one but that is what I would do.

The roller bag has a zipper that allows the bag to separate from the rigid back. That part would easily fit in most washing machines.

I picked one up used for a good deal and want to wash it before I swap over to it

I just bought one about a month ago, looked at the tags when I got home thinking there might be somethimg about it on them but there wasn't. I think you'll be fine, might put the washing machine on delicate just to be safe.
