^^^haha. The Asa Zs have the inner discs to ensure the composite will only flex a certain, legal amount.
 
If you go to the Louisville site, they show that the z-1000 & 2000 bats have that in it regardless, ASA or U-TRIP. That's my first time seeing it in(on) a real bat. They have a demonstration of this.

Sammie, although I agree with you that it's advertised that both Asa and utrip models have it, I'm almost positive the discs are only in the Asa bats.
