Can anyone explain about the star rating system on the pinky of ls gloves?
I had one of these gloves when I was a kid (it's long since lost) and am thinking about picking up another one for fun. I always assumed it was related to leather quality but I was like 10, so I figured I'd check with y'all.

That's my understanding. Goes 1 to 5 stars. The old skool horween gloves are 4 or 5 star.

Sounds about right - There is a Horween LS trap on the glove works forum right now and it is a 5 Star

It's a dating code system similar to what Rawlings did with the dot codes in the early 2000's. The higher the stars, the more recent the production date.
