During ASA league night this past week I played against a team that used two bats out of the plethora of sticks they had to choose from. One, a gold Monsta Torch, the other, a 2017 EST Comp USSSA. Our league night allows the use of any bat.. BUT we can only use 52's. Seeing as how we only use 52's, I expected the Torch to out-perform the EST solely based on the hype that Monsta's are supposed to murder 52/300 balls, but to my surprise, every person who picked up the EST was hitting shots.
I play 2B and the balls coming off the EST were noticeably hotter than anything the Torch was putting out.
I took the normal factors into consideration of course; # of swings on the bat, the person swinging it, if it had been shaved or not, etc.
Just thought it was interesting and wanted to share.
