Noob's Guide to Top of the line Fielding gloves?

eviladams

All hail Megatron.....
this list is pointless, unless you're just trying to make a list of every glove available.. go to justballgloves.com & sort by the size/web/price you want ..the more expensive gloves are the better gloves, generally

This is basically true.^^^

Who Pee'd in your Cheerios this morning?

*Augie eats pieces of sh** like you for breakfast! :D

* Indicates Mr.Augie does not actually eat pieces of s**t for breakfast. S**t has virtually no nutritional value and Mr. Augie would not waste his time doing so. Nor is it believed that Benny775 is actually a piece of s**t.

I get what you are saying. You're right, typically the more expensive the better

my point was really that Dan has already done all of the leg work with his price guide, linked above.. and as noted by someone else, it really comes down to personal preference.. there is no "best" glove, just a glove that's best for you, which you can really only find by trying a bunch of them for yourself

Ok, well, how's this for an idea then........ Let's sticky that price guide to this forum (I know it's already in the selling forum).

As much as I really like this idea, like said before, it's all a personal preference of what is considered worthy and moreso of what is worthy of being a softball glove. For example, I use anywhere from a 12" to 13.5" depending on my mood and well, position. Some people feel that a 13.5" is WAY to big, others feel a 12" is WAY to small. Trying to catalog the "best" glove is difficult when it's such a personal preference in softball.

And Nokona makes some nice softball gloves too, especially the xS1200, xS1250, xS1300 and xS1350. And for 2013 you can get them without Velcro! The 1250 and 1300 are a bit shallower than the Vincis.

Also, the Glovesmith USA customs 1225USA (measures closer to 12.5") and 1300USA (measures closer to 13.25") are really great softball patterns made out of incredible Horween leather -- if you choose the stiffer non oil tanned leather.
