The probly with this statement is that 47/375 is the MAXIMUM spec (I'm sure there's some sort of calculation where the 52/300 is "less than" the 44/375, I have no idea what it is). You could make a ball in combinations up to that and ASA will certify it. There's really only a few popular specs out there:

44/375, 40/375, 40/325, 52/275, 52/300. Then there's Clinchers and "Official Softballs" from Walmart Which are like 20/137 IF that.
