ASA Runner Assisting Runner

Is this ok?

Scenario:
Batter hits fly ball to LF.
R1 goes half way to 2B, assumes catch, returns toward 1B.
LF misplays ball - does not catch.
BR rounds 1B and sees ball on ground (does not pass R1) and physically stops R1 from reteating to 1B then pushes him towards 2B.

I searched and lots of scenarios about a 3B coach "assisting" a runner vs "touching" a runner. Rule book mentions something to the effect of offensive players other than runners cannot assist. Can't seem to locate anything on this.

Please advise......anyone but dunkky that is.

TIA

Right...LOL. I guess I meant I want to ensure I'm interpretting it correctly that other than runner meant it was ok and that there wasn't an "effect" of that somewhere else that I was missing.

Always appreciate you guys and the discussions in here.
