He may have done it again or be doing it again who knows, but the law is the law in place. It is there for a reason, he could be the most sick person in the world who got caught once, with that being said I don't want him near my kid if the offense is kid related. If he touched a kid once or looked at kiddie porn it does not matter, there is something not right about that and no way possible to justify it.

Changes as in you finally specified that whatever landed him on the registry did involve children, and by all means he shouldn't be allowed to be in the park or anywhere near it if it has a playground of any sort. Haven't followed the thread long enough to know if the existence of a playground has been mentioned.
Regarding someone above commenting about "looking at child porn", that's become kind of a slipper slope with the advent of cell phones. Not that long ago a group of high school kids in Pennsylvania (I think?) was arrested and charged with exploitation of minors and possession of child pornography because they were 'sexting' (probably the single dumbest word to ever enter the lexicon, btw). Irony was they arrested and charged the girls who were taking n00dz of themselves for producing child porn. Would you seriously tell some 17 year old high school senior that he's the scum of the earth because he had a couple cell phone pics of his 17 year old girlfriend's *******?
FWIW I never followed up on the above, and the charges may well have been dropped on the grounds of "that's ****ing stupid."

This type of logic I don't understand. If the 18 year old broke the law by sleeping with a minor, how did he get screwed by her parents? Isn't it his choice to sleep with someone that isn't of age? Weren't the consequences a result of his choice?

Talk about a slippery slope. Are you telling me the exploitation of minors is fine if they're only being exploited by other minors? How do you know some dirty perv wasn't giving them gifts to do this and send copies to their BFs just to throw the cops off if anything is found out? If they drop this case the precedent is now there. Also, is it cool for sixteen year olds? Then mature 15's? When is sexting okay? You're going to ruin the entire system with your last statement.

What most people fail to recognize, is that ALL this info is out there... These aren't Polaroids tucked in a shoe box. This info doesn't die. And more and more people are learning how to attain this info. I had to learn the very hard way that lesson. My mother in law (who hates me) hired a detective who found my "frontstmaui" monicker and looked it up. He found this site and printed every ill thing I joked about on here including Jarsquatting and buttsects. Before I know it, my Father in law was on a plane to come "visit" but only invited my wife and son over to his hotel. Strange. Wife comes home with a grip of posts I wrote in true softballfans HUMOR (locker room type ish) and takes it literally word for word. That was 10 months ago and he still won't acknowledge I exist. As far as he is concerned I am non-existent and he talks to my wife as if she were a widow or single. So when it comes to posting anything illicit or sending photos or texts that can be construed ill, I just say no.
When it comes to kids, we need to, as parents, remind them that this stuff happens and can be quite embarrassing... if not life threatening in the wrong hands...
