Softball burnout???

By the time October rolls around, the weather is so ****ty I don't want to play. Once April hits, I'm dying to get back out there.

I'm burnt out on pitching, 4-6 games a week since march this year, its getting to the point where I don't even care to think about fielding situations or anything...need a few weeks off on vacation over at first or a longer trip to the outfield to get my mind back in the game...also burnt out on finding subs all the damn time! Gets old!

If this was happening all of the time, I would stop coaching & just be a player. In fact, that's exacly what I did. Waaaaay better time playing now.

About 6 months covered in snow will make you want to play again

I play softball for 6 months, ski for 6 months. I haz balance.

Like my 4 months of softball, it's not hard to enjoy it when it's a limited resource. If you don't have an offseason, I can imagine it gets tough.

This year it happened after a tourney in like early april that I was putting together and had 1 guy bail 10 hours before first game and another bail 20 minutes before first game... Just played 2 nights of league since, had one tourney a couple weekends ago and remembered why I loved tourneys... Last year it was around August which was perfect because summer ball ended then.

I never get burned out of actually playing softball. It's usually the ppl I play with that i get burned out on

I'm with this guy all the way... stepped away from my team this week. Just didn't like going out and playing on the weekends.

Just sit out a few weeks. I get the same way some times but if i sit out for a while i get the sb bug again
