Bat testing, screens, and a 44/375 ball is what I've just been told.
Major changes were made this year! It definately doesn't look like SSAA anymore. We never used screens, tested bats, and always hit a 47/525 and had no problems!! The fields in Florence are 320+, that ball in that carolina heat will be a factor.

You would be surprised what that SC heat/humidity can do. My time at Shaw ('02-'05) was fun for a first assignment. Learning softball from Jay Weezy, J. Whit, and CGT one can never go wrong!
Can't make it this weekend due to AFRS 1 Star popping in on Thur-Fri. Have fun, be safe, and bombs away Gentleman!

DOD ID Check
• Players must have DOD identification at all times
• IDs will be checked against the team roster prior to first game starting
• Coach will have players lineup by roster
• Only approved DOD IDs will be accepted
• NO DOD ID, “NO Play” Illegal player rule will apply
Equipment
• Pitching Screens will be used for men and women tournaments
• Pitching screens will be set by the umpires
• 5 feet in front of pitching rubber
• Side edge of screen will be centered on pitching rubber either on left or right side
depending on left handed or right handed pitchers
• Once screens are in place, players are not allowed to move them.
• Bat Testing will be accomplished at the ball park;
• Friday July 26, 7:00pm to 9:00pm
• Saturday, July 27, 7:30am to 10:30am
• Only two bats per player.
• If a bat fails, the player will NOT be allowed to test another bat.
• If during play a bat becomes defective, a replacement bat will be allowed for testing
providing the defective bat was not caused by player misuse.
• Bats will only be tested once – Pass or Fail on first test.
• Failed bats are not authorized for SSAA play and are not allowed in the dug-out or surrounding
areas. Players using unapproved bats during play, in the dug-out or surrounding area will
ejected from the tournament.
• SSAA Directors reserve the right to arbitrarily re-test bats randomly during the tournament.

GATE FEES:
• $6.00 13-ABOVE (one-day pass)
• $4.00 YOUTH 12-7 yrs. (one-day pass)
• Free 6 under (one-day pass)
• A two-day pass will be offered
• Pedestrians have the right of way throughout the park.
• Smoking and/or the use of tobacco products in the gated areas of the park is prohibited.
• There are smoke chimneys for butt disposal at gates.
• Personal coolers and outside food are prohibited inside ticketed gates. One cooler per team with Gatorade or water will be allowed. The cooler will be marked at the gate.
• Pets and bicycles are prohibited inside ticketed gates and playing fields.
• Motorized vehicles allowed on paved roads and parking lot only.
• Park only in designated areas within the parking lot. Parking on the grass and/or curbsides will not be allowed and are subject to ticket/towing.
• Open fires are not allowed at any time.
• No alcoholic beverages or weapons of any kind allowed in park.
• No skateboards, roller blades, or scooters allowed.
• No climbing on metal frames, fences, or trellis areas.
• No littering.
• Practice and warm-up only in designated areas.
• Soft toss hitting into the fence is prohibited. Violators may be asked to leave the complex and/or assessed a damage fee.
• Softball fields are reserved for League / Tournament play and practice only.
• Batting cages hours of operation
• Saturday 9:00am to 6:00pm
• Sunday 1:00pm to 6:00pm
• The City of Florence and/or SSAA are not responsible for accidents, injuries, or loss of property incurred while using park facilities.

CGT if I was you I would be more worried about the no alcoholic beverages in the park!!

Absolutely incredible! BUT....everybody has to play by the same rules so let the games begin. Good luck fellas...see yall this weekend at the 1st of 2 family reunions!!
