Made the bogey. Sucks for him, that could have been an easy birdie. Two shot swing, but he'll be alright. I'm pretty amazed at how calm he has been yesterday and today. Seems very much at peace

Hopefully Jason Day just pars 18 so that Guan doesn't get screwed out of making the cut.

EDIT: Day missed his approach short and misses his chip. Guan and Watson make the weekend.

Guan got screwed on that penalty stroke anyway.

Augusta rules committee looking mighty stupid right now. Rule yesterday during the round that tiger's drop was gtg, then they change their mind after he signs his correct scorecard and pretty much incorrectly use a rule that retroactively penalizes a couple strokes. retarded

Pretty messed up how it went down. 15 lost him 4 strokes. I bet he's pissed. He'll lose by 1 and it will get ugly.

people at home watching on TV should not be able to call the TV network or the golf course if they see something. thats bs

Did anyone see the side by side pics of the two drops. They have some divots marked so you can see where he was in relation to his previous shot. He is practically standing in the same spot. Most people aren't going to get that close if they tried. Especially if they walk away from the spot at all.

So the question is, if you say something that implies you circumvented the rules should that take precedence over if you actually break the rules?

The photos are here.

With all of the money the PGA Tour has, there should be an official watching every shot and keeping their score. If they see a penalty, they should tell the player and settle any disputes before his next shot.

It probably shouldn't matter because that makes it unfair, since Tiger is interviewed more than other guys. Similarly, more of Tiger's shots are on TV, so there should be no penalty just because someone spotted one on TV.

Augusta works under different rules. They don't let a rules official walk with every group

They've made other changes in recent years (allowing the front 9 to be shown on TV, allowing women to join), so there's no reason they can't make another.
