Game was called before it was official. Score tied 3 to 3 At end of 3rd....Top of 4th started....after 3 batters game called for rain. Where does game resume??.Does game resume at top of 4th .. Does game start exactly where it stopped or does game start over??

The game resumes exactly where it left off..It's suspended at that exact moment.

That is the national rule. You're league rules probably will very. In every league I've ever worked except one, the game started fresh.

So did the 3 batters get out or was it still going on? Usually recreation softball 4.5 innings would be considered a completed game. And did the game get suspended or called for the night? The suspension then restarting the game would pick up and continued with time that was left and the next batter is up, once again if they didn’t all 3 get out? Now if game was cancelled then a reschedule would need to be done, and it would start all over 0-0 new game.

Umpire only has the authority to suspend a game. Any further action is reliant upon local/tournament rules and those in charge of the event.

We in our leagues once games have started can suspend and call them all off for the night. It’s soley on us as umpires due to safety. Now once they have begun it’s on us. 4.5 completed innings and games are called for the night that game is considered completed. If less than the 4.5 innings reschedule and play a new full game.
