I hadn’t purchased a glove in awhile and was on eBay looking for a 70’s Gibson Les Paul Custom when I decided to change gears and look for an a2000.... low and behold this one popped up for $89 and I snatched it up.

Can any of you tell me what year it might be?

I have a Japanese XLO that I bought in either 1984 or 85......very blurry time , I **think** the USA models are older (made before the Japanese models) but I'm not 100% sure.

I bet @MaverickAH can answer your question, he's very familiar with these older A2000's.

The web is original.... it was oiled a bit generously by the previous owner. I’ll post a pic of the pinky side.

One thing I do find interesting is the eyelets .... they are unpainted, which isn’t normal.

Swag on 100.
Ok so I think the round Wilson logo on the thumb had "USA" sewn on it between 1978-1983. Also if it doesn't have the date code it leads me to believe it's pre 1978. I'm not really an expert on Wilson (or other gloves) dating system but I know a few little tid bits here and there. I think this one is pre 1978. Nice piece.

My hd on my pc bit the dust a couple of months ago so I've lost all of my glove data. The glove has received a complete relace so I too have questions on whether that is the original web or not. The circle logo on the back looks suspiciously clean. The trim looks new & so does the stitching. It just looks like a restoration to me. Not a bad one, but just saying...…. Still a bargain for what you paid. Now I could be wrong about the web not being the original one but who knows?

The line under "Made in USA" tells you where it was manufactured (Ironton, OH, I believe). I'd have to redo my research to tell you where but you can do that yourself. Late 70's to early 80's would be my guess.
