Looking to see what this is going for as I am thinking about selling. Glove is used and in great shape. Glove has been broken in traditional and re-laced 1/4 inch in the fingers and web, 1/8 inch every where else. If posted in the wrong section please direct me to the correct place to repost. Thank you

Are you sure this is a PI?

Doesn't look like one to me...
It has the stamps, looks like one to me... No BLEM under the pinky loop, pretty legit. I don't know how to link to the proper forum, but this should be under "fielding discussion" its the typical PC forum on gloves.

The stamps? All a2ks are made in Japan, and my a2k says just A2K 1786 on the thumb? I bought mine at DSG lol

Hum this look like an early retail a2k to me. The PI models have large model numbers and usually without the word A2K. All their Japan made gloves early A2000 and A2K have their size listed in the thumb loop.

I will value your glove at $180-$200 due to the nice tanner laces, decent form and condition. I would take it if I dont already own way too many Wilsons.

It's tough doing the Wilson double-X's with 1/4" lace too. Looks nicely done, a bit tighter than I normally do my webs, but still very nicely done.

Also, for what it's worth this was a retail available model in that exact colorway.

The differences of opinion on this glove are quite stark! I can't wait to see what the ultimate determination is!

Just to let you know that I have an A2K exactly like this. But with a different colorway. I considered mine an early A2K retail.

Appreciate the responses as I am considering getting rid of it as well as a black A2000 1781 PI I got here on SBF. To many hobbies and my competitive playing days are coming to an end.

Jen what makes you say that? I want facts, not just a statement. You've been known to stretch the truth on here before. Just want facts.

I say this is retail, and I don't see anything about it that tells me it's a PI. Even if it's a PI in this condition, it may only make a $20 difference.

Good luck with sale, and I don't mean to troll your thread. I believe you were told it's a PI but I do not believe it is one.

For an A2K, PI or not doesnt make that much of a different, because even with Retail, its the top of the line leather anyway, and that pattern and colorway is nothing special, Its not like a H2R with his name on it. The quality of a PI A2000 vs a retail can be substantial, you are talking about MIV vs MIJ, But I still stand behind my estimate, how much are you looking to unload your 1781 black?

This is from ST 2015 which becomes the "2016" line. At that time PI had the size & "japan" stamp under the thumb sleeve, retail models do not, their size is on the thumb pocket side. Also the Thumb stamp says "A2K 1787" in the small font. Starting in 2013 ST "2014" line in VT the retail line moved to the larger font and the size stamp for retail on the thumb and pro issues were stamped as this one is with only the model #.

Wilson changes up their font and stamps time to time, but this is no doubt a PI glove with the stamps in their location from when it was made.

Apparently starting this year they kept the stamps the same between retail and pi gloves so its easier to move the left over spring training gloves into the retail line. That's per "punkpitch" a wilson rep who is very active on IG.

What is ST and VT stand for?
Sorry for the shorthand, ST is short for Spring Training and in 2013 Spring Training the line had the VT - Vintage Tan/Black line that became the "2014" retail line.

And a2000 PI have the larger font that matches the font on retails, but they only have the model number on the thumb, no size. The a2k pi's have always had the tiny "a2kxxxx" in the small font, no size.

This is the glove I purchased here on SBF in the thread below and would be looking to get what I paid if sold. Glove is in same condition as in the photos as I haven't used it. I have a 1781 retail I play with.

Lol I just asked a simple question. I didn't realize it would be this much debate. Thanks everyone.

Cy I don't have time for your BS. It's a pro issue. I know a lot more about those than you do. Get over it. Just because you don't like an answer or being proven wrong doesn't mean that the truth was stretched.

Good luck with your sale
