Wilson "Glove Day Series"???

BigRB

Gimpy Shouldered Glove Ho/ pitcher
Anybody have any info on these? Are they PI's?
Description makes it seem like it, no?
  • The A2000® Glove Day Series gloves traveled throughout Florida and Arizona to big league camps this spring. All these models were hand-molded and shaped for the best talent in the game by Glove Master Craftsman Shigeaki Aso and his team. This is your chance to get your hands on the gloves made for the game's biggest stars at an unbelievable price."

I just received mine. The hand stall is a lot smaller than the SBF 1781 special run (those were pretty big). The hand stall actually fits my medium sized hands now. Leather feels great.

Let’s see it please.

I will be getting this re-laced this weekend with thicker 1/4" laces around the fingers/web this weekend. Looks like stock lace is 3/16". I like to keep the fingers pretty wide, so the length of the stock is not enough for me to do so. Glove Measures just under 12" from the top of Index finger to the heel of the glove, also 9.5" from the thumb to the pinky. I'm guessing it'll get to 10 to 11" by the time I have it broken it with loosened lace around fingers.

My glove hasn’t even shipped yet. Website says delayed.

They just had that 40% off one-day sale and got slammed. I got an email last night that a glove I bought from the sale was delayed until Thursday COB......then this morning another email saying it was shipped.

I hate myself for missing this sale. Especially the 1781 for me for slow pitch. Would have also liked to have gotten a 1787 to coach my son and a 1786 for him to grow into.

I was able to get a LHT Saddle Tan GG47 A2000 Pro Issue. First time I've had my hands on a pro issue and quality is definitely a cut above the regular a2000. very satisfied with the purchase!

I had my eye on that one as well but only had LHT when I checked, would you mind posting some pics when you get a chance?

The 1781 is from a previous year but the 1799SS has some of the 2021 features.

Do these have the mlb logos on the side?, their new gloves don’t, maybe that’s why they got rid of them

Yes. They removed them off newer models due to Rawlings now becoming the “official” glove of the MLB

Whats the big deal it being Pro Issue? And are these actually Pro Issue?
They are issued to the mlb players during spring training, I guess the mlb players didn't want them, so they sold to the public to clear their inventory. The pi are made in Japan like their a2k line. Some ppl collect pi Wilson gloves.

Yes, and some of the patterns (like the 1781) are not commonly available in retail. But most of all, they were on sale. . . so, that's my excuse.
