Any Is a Don Joy rigid brace not allowed for slowpitch sanctions?

I have a torn ACL, and have been wearing a Don Joy rigid brace for sports ever since. I've played in many league games, and even SPN (Canadian association) and SPO (affliated with USSSA), and saw other players wearing that. Never a problem. In a recent league game, a new umpire saw me and said...

USSSA Fair or Foul? 1B fielder touched pop fly in foul territory, ball dropped to fair.

I thought it'd be a foul ball, but was surprised the ump called it fair. If OTOH a fielder touched but did not catch the ball in fair territory, then the ball goes into foul territory, it's still fair to start with and is still live. So I didn't understand the ump's logic in calling the other...

USSSA Fair or Foul? 1B fielder touched pop fly in foul territory, ball dropped to fair.

Batter/Runner hits a pop fly to foul territory. The 1B fielder tried to catch, touch the ball in foul territory (his entire body, and where he touched the ball, was foul), but didn't catch the ball and the ball dropped into and stayed in fair.

USSSA 1B fielder catches ball in front of BR, ump calls obstruction?

The fielder had to move from 1B toward homeplate direction to catch the ball. The BR was already running hard and was close so could not change direction, and ran into the fielder. It was actually our BR, so our team all thought it was an out and were getting our gloves to go on the field...

    When wind affects game

I remember a game when I pitch toward the plate it'll be blown wide. I'd have to lob the ball toward the batter in order for it to land in the strike zone. But of course once a while the wind stops and the ball lands on the batter.

USSSA 1B fielder catches ball in front of BR, ump calls obstruction?

Batter/runner hits ground ball toward SS. SS throws the ball wide, 1B fielder steps into the base path and caught the ball, then the BR runs into him. (They're ok, hugged each other to prevent falling) We all thought it's an out, but ump calls the fielder for obstructing by being in the base...

Catcher talking while pitch is coming in?

Trash talk is trash. Fortunately in our league, we don't trash talk the other teams.

Is 3B runner out, crossed committment line before fly ball caught?

It's SPN (in Canada) which has lots of similarities to USSSA and NSA rules.

Is 3B runner out, crossed committment line before fly ball caught?

One out. Runner at 3B. A flyball is hit. Runner at 3B thought it won't be caught and runs home, crossing both the commitment line and safe line at home. Fielder made a nice diving catch. Runner runs back to 3B. Ump calls this runner out, for having crossed the commitment line and therefore...

Does run count, 3rd out for runner not tagging on fly ball?

One out. Runners at 1B and 3B. A fly ball is hit to outfield and is caught. Runner at 3B tagged and runs home. Runner at 1B left the base and was thrown out at 1B for not tagging up (after runner at 3B crossed the line at home). Does the run count?

    Any Intentionally dropped ball?

It's a church co-ed rec league. We like to keep it recreational and fun, and don't want unsportsmanlike behaviour. Last year a team played aggressively, including blatantly intentionally dropped balls to get double plays. So we are discussing what to put in the rules to deal with this...

    Any Intentionally dropped ball?

With less than 2 outs, runner at 1B, or runners at 1B and 3B. A fly ball or a line drive is intentionally dropped by a fielder, so they can make a double play. What should an umpire call? Thanks.

    price check: SCN5B 34/25

I have the scn5 34/26. But just saw the news of Easton voluntarily pulling them off the certified list. It's such a shame by Easton. Those are no hotter than the new ASA2013 bats. But Easton just wants to force people to buy new bats.

What are the hottest asa bats since old Easton's off the list

That's good. Got a Phenix 32/22, that my daughter still used last year, but may finally grow out of this year. Also got a CF3 34/25 and Phenix 34/26, that we haven't used much. It's -25c outside now. In a few weeks, I'll probably take pics and put in an ad.
