Where would you start with one long lace to accomplish what is pictured above?

dan has a video on youtube for the best way to lace an H web (uses 2 needles working from top to bottom). I think this would be easily accomplished in the same manner. Otherwise, Start at the bottom of the base and just work your way up. my suggestion would be to go the way dan shows in the video as this is the easiest way. i dont think it will be an issue at all for a 72" piece of lace.

Dying it black would leak into the "W", which is worse than having the background grey, I would just leave it. At least the Wilson W isn't white like the past few years.
