it is absolutely perfect for those two and also great for hd quality youtube, netflix, hulu, hbo go, or movies you have downloaded to an sd card. it has a real hd resolution screen and is still better than an ipad mini screen. plus it doesn't get scalding hot like many other tablets when trying to play HD quality stuff or when gaming.
