Anybody use a G&R for their top hand?

Only off a tee in the backyard so I can't really talk about distance yet...

Not 2 G&R ...slide the existing one up where the bottom hand is gripping the bat normal then the G&R sits above the bottom hand...the G&R makes you drop a pinky on top but gives a little more control IMO...like I said I was bored

One of my players did that for awhile. Not sure why. But I would guess it is illegal.
