I went and watched a few games in Salem, Va yesterday.. Weather was perfect for a tournament. With some very skilled players..

But no clue who won it all :eek:

The weather in Prescott was perfect all weekend. I played with VFW and we had a good run but had a crucial error in the last game that put us out.

Yea we played them on Saturday night. Those guys r great hitters and cool bunch of dudes.

They took pictures of all the teams but they never told us where we could see them. Hopefully they put them all on AZ board.

The brackets were pretty jacked up. Played with Hawaii team IMUA and had a game at 8am. We play a Az team and win. Our friends StreetLegal played after us at 9:30. They lose and we play right after than at 11:00. We lose our second game and play right after against StreetLegal,our third game and their second. Shouldn't that play another 0-1 team?

Anyway, we lose and it sucks that we had to lose to our island brothers but we shouldn't have played each other so soon. They did have a 8team consolation bracket that we won. Who has heard of a consolation bracket in a national ?

Pope/shockers won C northern in Rochester. Put up 23 in top of first against streetkids in finals.

No because if you look at the brackets teams had "byes". So one team would've been further along then another. Therefore you will encounter what happened to you.

Also, they probably did the consolation bracket figuring teams wanted to get games in for travelling that far. It's actually a "nice" thing to do, but with any consolation bracket you had the right not to play if you didn't feel up for it. Not like there is much going on in Prescott to go out and do anyway. :D

ASA brackets are predetermined by code. They can only be changed in the case of bad weather or other natural problem. Only the draws are adjusted by code to allow that local teams do not face each other in the first round.
