Broomsticks for bats

Warpath was a trip. Who was the dude with the gold pants? He wasn't on Warpath's level but he could spin a yarn too.
I haven't seen Warpath in years. He used to play in our local leagues here in Maryland. I didn't really think he had a good swing or mechanics, but he was extremely strong and when he connected could hit it a long ways.

400'+ even

No 400' shots, but 350'+ at times. He was in love with the long ball and posting videos when he hit them. I play senior leagues which he would be eligible by now to play in, but it's like he just disappeared from softball.

Someone just resurrected an 11 year old thread and Lord7 was a commenter. Now I'm thinking he was the gold pants guy that you claim to be. If you wore gold pants, what was Lord7's deal?

Back then I played on a team here in Spokane with some board brothers, that we called the Killer Bees..............As you could imagine we wore gold and black like a Yellow Jacket bee. Someone posted a vid of me hitting and we were wearing gold pants. People on the board would always give me a hard time about them. You know, "STFU!! What do you know?? You wear yellow pants........" To which I always replied, "Gold mother****er!!! Gold!!!"

Big drafty, I feel your pain. In the 70's I swung a 35oz easton. Up until 10 years ago I used a 30oz. Then it was almost impossible to find them. I went to a 29 and now 28.5 with a full load.
Many think a 25 is the way to go. I just chuckle to myself and continue with me heavy bats.
As for long hrs in the 70's I witnessed several. It took strength, mechanics, timing and equipment.

It's hard to hit a hr less than 300'
Well - at one time when I had the foot speed I used to do it but those days have past! 😁 Or fences less then 300 ft. One field I've played on recently only has a 280 ft fence. Balls are dead though!
