Claims of 44/375's w/"USSSA stamp" on it...........wtf?

some guy contacted me saying that he wanted a
44/375
with a "USSSA stamp" on it
And this was for a NON sanctioned tournament fundraiser

I told him that there absolutely is NO SUCH BALL with a USSSA stamp that is 44/375 compression.

He sent me a pic of a
CLASSIC M (This is a 40/325)
in a box labeled 44/375.

I tried my best to make this at all clear.
Even sent him a snap shot of the
2019 USSSA rule book explaining the Classic M.
He thought the swirl symbol on that classic meant 44/375 USSSA

We sent him some 44/375;s and he ended up requested a refund.
We gave him his money back ...

Am I crazy?
Is there such a ball that is a 44/375 with a USSSA stamp on it?

There actually ARE .44 375 USSSA balls, but they haven't been legal to use in over a decade. Before USSSA went to elite (.44 400), major (.40 300) or distance (.47 500) balls they had .44 375s. They were white.

This would have been about 2003.

Obviously there aren't any CURRENT USSSA .44 375s available.

If his proof to you was an m in a 44/375 box is have sent him whatever you had in a 44/375 box.

Unless they're is a fast pitch ball that I'm not aware of because I don't play fp, then no.
