Since you never seen me hit then I don't think you can say that. It's kind of like me saying I can out hit you with my eyes closed, but since I haven't seen you hit I would never say such a thing. Again, normal d or 5 man...I pull the ball everytime and don't have problems getting on. No need for me to try to hit oppo when I can get a basehit or hr pulling the ball.

I pull hit every time. So far this season, in 9 games, the ONLY time I don't get on base is if I foul out. If I hit the ball into fair territory, I get on base.

I'm just saying not every player at every level should be expected to hit opposite on demand. Sure, the fielding is usually weaker over there, especially at lower levels, but you CAN get on base hitting pull.

Of course you can. But if you can go oppo and they know that from your first hit then LF line is wide open for second at bat.

you know what sucks? a guy who hits all over the field and still hits under .600. These are the guys who make outs and then tell you what they were "trying" to do. :rolleyes:

I'll take the guy who does one thing well over the guy who does everything mediocre.

hey, hey, hey... I'm a Right fielder. always have been, from little league to highschool and now to softball... i've got a good glove and a decent arm. if anything,my weakness is my arm... it seems to have lost it's edge over the years... i can still get it where i need to, but not much on the solid line as much as the floater these days.

Right fielder doesnt mean bad, but as a right handed hitter can catch em on their heels sometimes.

and fyi Ted WIlliams the greatest hitter of all time was a dead pull hitter he is the reason they invented the shift u see today where the 3rd basemen plays short. they lined up this way and he would hit into it and still batted 340 plus in his career.

Ted Williams did start hitting opposite field later in his career, and he said in his book that he wishes he could have done that throughout his career, because he would have been a much better hitter.

Its much harder to do in baseball anyway. Slowpitch softball is almost like hitting off a tee.
