No idea, haven't heard that before.
I'm sure there's still an RD hanging on a rack in some mom and pop store somewhere and I'd be they'd honour the receipt if that bat showed up.

I've always been a YZ guy for dirt bikes but I'm thinking KTM for this one. Looking at the KLR650 for on/offroad as well.
