Mesh vs Silk material (feedback please)

Trying to decide between the two. Couple questions:

-What is hotter?
-What makes the colors "pop" better?
-are the "silk" jerseys thin and cheap feeling?
-what do you teams in the Southern US use...the moisture wick seems so thick for warm weather.

Anyone have a pic of each to compare? Most fully subs are the "moisture wick" material...but Rover offers both.

Any suggestions or feedback? Thanks in advance.

The smooth polyester is less breathable and is prone to fabic picks. The mesh is airy and comfortable and seems to cling less. You won't notice a difference in the graphics from more than 2' away.

just got those in the mail today. Hope that helps. We had the same questions about the fabric. I think were going to be going with the bottom one which i believe they call the mock mesh

Mock Mesh is the way to go. It's a little heavier fabric but breathes way better, and is cooler. The silky fabric will stick to you a bit on the hot days and that's not cool for a fat guy.

^^^ If you have any hint of a spare tire, the silky fabric will really accentuate your curves. Go with the mesh.

They are both a "moisture management polyester" but the mock mesh is WAY more popular - it breathes a lot better than the silkier.
The graphics are going to show up better on the silkier fabric (as with any smooth surface), but I don't think it's worth the slightly more crisp graphics when you think about actually sweating in these things!

Call me if you need some more clarity...

Thanks for the replies. We were going to go with the silk, but if it's hot and sticks guys just won't wear em. The thickness of the mock mesh had me a little concerned....seems to be the preferred material though so we'll give it a try.

You are correct, you approved on Friday the 7th and entered production on Monday the 10th. Your order is set to ship today (tomorrow at the latest). That puts your production time at 3 weeks and 1 day...which is very fast at this time of year.

A couple of quick comments…
This is the BUSIEST time of the year…it’s like getting on that freeway where we are used to going 70mph and now we are only moving 30mph.
Ordering Jerseys at this time of year and not expecting it to take time is setting all of us up for failure.
Lastly, why did you post here and not contact Rover Plus Nine directly?
I don’t see how posting these comments here is a win win for you or us.
We are a company who sells only to the Softball Community and we bust our butt to get it right. We are not perfect, but we do a really good job and I think getting your order out in 3 weeks after approval (in March) validates that.
We appreciate your business and I hope this clarifies any misunderstanding.
