Question as to who is running the group?

I don't know anything about it, but what makes you think you were dropped from the group? Are you sure it's not just appearing that way since the site switched to the new software? Most of the old links don't work, so if you're going by your sig that'd be my guess as to what's wrong.

It probably is. The Combatants just aren't the Combatants anymore...not like it used to be anyway. This subforum was busy, lots of info, lots of posting, even an off-topic thread that was supremely popular. There were several great Combatants who took the lead on things, spear-headed by our friend Hebrew Hacker (what a great guy). Reality is, it's not just the Combatants. It seems the SBF forums have taken a hit in general. I joined years ago, and it used to be a ton of fun...first place I visited online every single day. Just doesn't have the same vibe and a lot of guys just drifted away for various reasons.

I have been on here buying AV's...playing in Combatants Tourneys since 2009. I used to check this site 10+ times a day and participated in discussions etc. It was a huge part of my day. I still check in a couple times a week but not sure what the point is now. Looks like we are almost done. I do have a bunch of Combatants stickers that I have not used yet and still ONLY swing COMbat!

Everyone has a theory. Mine is that restricting and banning "dealers" and the propagation of Facebook groups has probably contributed the most to the decline of the SBF site in general. But that is to be expected when the store runs the forums. Still probably the most active softball forum out there. At least most of the scammers have migrated to FB.
As for the Combatants, once Hacker left it sort of went dead.... although I am not sure how many even noticed. Which is sad..... at least we're still more active than the Anderson forum
