Shift all your other fingers over towards pinky...no weirdness...just awesomeness

wow - I just tried this, it feels weird at first but after a few minutes it started to feel more natural... :D This is definitely good to go...

I started going 2 in pinky, 1 ring 1 middle and thumb when I was playing baseball in jr high or high school.

Somewhere in late high school I started going 2 in pinky, 2 in ring and thumb. It makes finding gloves tricky for me, but I'm very comfortable with the way my hand feels in there and really like the way the pocket forms over time.

I've been using my 11.75 lately in the outfield.. I'm normally infielder but in some leagues I've been playing in I've been playing outfield cause of definitely needed some help.. Yes I'd rather use 12.5-13 out there but seem to be doin fine with my 11.75

12.5 Nokona Bloodline, use it for OF, IF, and P, obviously not all positions at same time

I go with 2 in the pinky. Normally use my 13.5" TJ1952-L. However, I have used a 12" CT82-M in the outfield on more than 1 occasion. A lot has to do with how deep the pocket is developed, not the size of the glove.

I use a Wilson A2k 1799 for outfield and I did use 2 in the Pink but recently went to 3 in the pink which I like better for outfield.

IMO if ur playing competitive ball you should be using nothing less then a 13 inch glove in the OF. You will see most guys out there with 14 inch gloves or BFG's cuz there running a 3 man OF.If ur just palying league 90% of the time and not being peppered by missles on constant basis then u can get away with almost anything out there. I bought a 12.75 custom PP this year and I have said to myself if I had my 14 inch glove I would of ****ing snagged that numerous times. Waiting for my PP to come back as I had it relaced to open it up and make it bigger and see if that helps any. I regret buying it cuz its just to small for what I need it for...dont get me wrong its a fn sick glove but just wish it was a little bigger.

You're the only other person I know of who does this. I find that custom cuts are the best way to go for it...stock gloves just don't fit right.

I used to use a 13.5, went to a 12.5 (it was supposed to be a 13 but was small), and I love it. There have been a couple of times where I would have gotten a ball with a larger glove, but they're few and far between. I am breaking in a 13" which I think will be perfect though.

i agree and disagree with this, i see where you say that having the extra leather is going to snag more, but sometimes it comprimises the "feel" of a small glove so on a rolling ball being able to scoop it from the side or even transfering it out of the big 14" glove.. i've ran alot of 3 man and used nothing but a 12.75

GMP62BK for me

I use a gmp55bk with 2 in the pinky. It's a 12.5 Never had a ball pop out. I use to use a 12.75 with 2 in the pinky. Never had one pop out either.

I game between the ELO-B and GMP55R; both with 2 in the Pinky, 2 in the Ring and Thumb (aka Vulcan Grip).
I would never have thought to use the GMP55 at 1B

I don't know if I can remember a ball where I thought, "If I had a 13" instead of a 12" I would've had that." Usually I think, "If I got a better read on that" or "If I was a little faster".

Thinking the same thing....except the little faster part ;)

I've got a 11.5 Wilson that I use 90% of the time, a 12.5", and a 14". I feel the 14" is a tad too big so I'm on the hunt for a decent 13" to try. It's a little tougher using the 11.5 but it does make me concentrate more on getting it into the glove. I've had a couple pop out so I know I need to step up the size. Hoping a 13" will be just right. Still haven't gotten used to 2 in the pinky method yet but I see the benefits.

Used a 12" for years, broek in well with a solid pocket. It was fine, but didn't leave a huge margin for error. Picked up a 14" and although it's heavier, floppier and a little more awkward, it's just flat out easier to catch the ball with.

I've been playing outfield for years, with baseball and it just felt natural to use it with softball, with an 11.75" so I guess it is what you are comfortable with. Anything bigger than a 12" and it feels way too big on my hand. Also I've used 2 in the pinky since I was a teenager and I don't think I could wear a glove any other way now. Use what works for you, but I would shy away from blaming dropping the ball on your glove size.

12.5 with 3 in the pinky. I've played with 12.75 with 3 in the pinky. Usually wear a 13 with 3 in the pinky. Just comfortable for me. 2 in the pinky though when I have to play infield

Smallest I've ever used is a 12" TPX Pro. I know use a GMP70bk at 12.75. No problems with either.

I play OF (or it plays me, LOL) and the smallest I have used is a 12" RV57 H web or a JD73 12" I web in BP. I game a 13" but think I am gonna go up to a 13.25" just in case I misjudge the ball. I really like traps for OF.
