Went to a fundraising dinner at the JCC last night (friend's wife organizes the event). They pick a place that has an old Jewish community...in this case, Greece (specifically, Thessaloniki) and will have an acclaimed chef from a restaurant in Philly who specializes in this type of cooking prepare the food. Also has unlimited beer/wine that's chosen to match the fare. Gorged myself on veal meatballs and flaky pastries with chopped veal inside for appetizers, then lamb shanks and lamb short ribs for the entree.
I'm a firm believer in "the cuter the animal, the better it tastes".
