I don't take coed seriously........Not as seriously as I take my own expectations of my performance and execution for myself.
I think there might be some confusion here on what taking it too serious is.
most of us will play hard, do it what it takes to win etc.
I think the "take it to serious" people are those who for example:
1. sprint to first like its a 100m race when the ball was hit to left field.
2. slide at home when there is no play.
3. dive in the outfield when not necessary.
**** like that. They try to hard and most of the time make errors while trying to do too much. Softball and to a certain extent baseball is more of a thinking and timing game than anything else. Soccer and basketball is where full on effort and adrenaline play a key role. The best teams have 9-10 players that play as a unit and collectively play as one. There are to many players in softball that think they are superstars and heroes and there is no such thing as that in this sport.
