Yes, there was a perfect game in slow pitch softball in a USSSA tournament

I hate to beat a dead horse, because it has been said a number of times before... but to your point...

Yep - it is that 'Gauntlet' that was a disappointment - because I'm not
an elitist who thinks only 'Softball Gods' should be members here, or should
I say, it should not be only for 'Internet Commandos' who are always up for
a verbal assault on others.

I saw how out of hand it got with constant harassment that drove many prospective
posters away, not only newbies who were attacked, but also those members who
just weren't willing to put up with harassment whenever they posted anything.

Good hearted joking and needling among friends is not usually a problem, but
a 'friendly jab' at a friend is not the same 'friendly' act toward a stranger.
And many protagonists in 'the Gauntlet' were simply not friendly in any sense.

I'm disappointed by the lack of participation in this forum, but I don't miss
that 'Gauntlet' of unfriendly attacks. I remember back when I first joined the
forum and it was a great place to share perspectives and ideas about a common
pasttime of recreational, family softball entertainment.

It is that kind of Softball Fans Forum which put together teams to actually
play tournaments in local areas. The friendly atmosphere also created the
Super-Drafts on a wider scale. I miss that.

seriously, if someone got that annoyed by anything "The Gauntlet" said they weren't all that mentally tough. Hence my comment. If you let some idiot online run you out of a forum then that's on you.
They crossed the line a few times for sure. Having said that, if you didn't ask an idiotic question, you usually wouldn't incur their wrath.

There was just another perfect game in the loser's bracket final of D worlds. That makes two verifiable perfect games this season. One unverifiable perfect game almost 50 years ago, isn't that impressive.
If OP wants some sort of recognition from NJ, they need to contact Jim Pilla. His contact information is easy enough to get into and he's the state director for NJ.
That's strange, there's nothing mentioned anywhere on the internet about these so-called.. perfect games. Were they in tournaments that were sponsored by the USSSA? If they weren't, they may as well been pick up games. They don't count. I have my proof, as a matter of fact, it was someone from this site that sent me the following.

They may not feel the need to pump themselves up about a recreational game. Mooch threw his in a Conference USSSA game, you know, the highest level of slow pitch softball. The other was on Championship Sunday at the USSSA World Tournament. Both of which would be higher stature than a random C tournament in Jersey in 1977. We have video evidence of both of the ones this year.
