i owned one of them back when they first came out and personally i think they are too fragile of a bat to shave. Great bats while they lasted but they never lasted all that long. You never know though.....

In my opinion, when i want a solid liner or pick where i want to hit i will swing the 454, when i want to get a little more distance i use the dc-41 because of the maxload. All in all its a personal preference, I personally love the 454 for place hitting liners
