red and Yellow graphics????? - is this ANOTHER K3lly's bat? If so, how many times can they repaint one bat?!?!?!?

What does mid load actually mean ? Smaller end load or is the weight located in the taper mid way up the bat ? Only reason I ask is cause I see the asa filthy has a mid load and worth usually identifies smaller end loads as reloads .

I was only messing around I only swung one FX 700 and that had about 20 swings on it and it felt very very stiff...

I believe that Mikens midload is less endload compared to the maxload. I believe its .25 ounces of endload, but I could be wrong.

I got the Freak FX700, was thinking about picking this up, FX700 is really light so wanted something to offset. Think I will wait for more info.

Last years bats looked WAY better IMO. I hope this one is better than the FX700 though. I loved the feel of the barrel on the FX700, but I just couldn't get the pop and distance with it that I can with even just my Salvo. New year, new model, maybe they learned something from Easton;), I look forward to trying it out!

Not doubting you because you know your bats, but how many hits where on the FX700 that you swung? I actually liked the bat better than the Freak DST.

Also I'm still banking on this bat being a repainted Freak FX700 with midload just like last years SF98 was a repainted DST with midload.

It was ViperSteve's bat, I'm not really sure but it was at the end of the season. I will agree it is better than the DST. I didn't care for the DST at all. The best thing about the FX700 was the feel at contact for me. It felt like I could feel the barrel flexing in and launching the ball off. Kinda like what a broken in F98 feels like, but without the explosive pop lol.

If it is anything like the Easton's I would imagine these get pretty insane once they start breaking. I have not seen one of these broken yet, then again ViperSteve is the only one I know who has one and has kept it. I'm not saying they are bad, it's just most my pals are bat heurs too lol.

i just watched the video kelly put up for this and he said in the video it is the same bat as the first super freak 98 with diff paint job lol

Haha, remember when we were talking about marketing and hyping bats? This is not how to do it. Don't tell people it's the same mediocre bat with a different paint job. I can see this bat being half it's listed price in a year when KUS has hundreds left and no buyers.

They've sold quite a few and have quite a few followers that have never heard of sbf. Its marketing to its fullest. People who like the bat, don't want it changed, hence why he said that.

On Miken's Facebook page, they mention some upgrades from last year's bat. I do see an extra logo on it buy can't make it out as to what is different.

Update on this... the Miken Sports FB page gave me no response to the above question. I have e-mailed KUS to see if they will give me an answer on this.

Graphics are a little different. The "DST" decal is in a different place, it says MIKEN, and MADE IN USA on taper as well. Other than that the scheme looks the same to me.

The FX700 I swung was NIW at the beginning of BP... 50 hits in and we were hitting very very well with it.
