Bmb-ob love is there better?

I am in love with my bmb-ob. I have a TJ and never touched it. I hate the closed back, is there anything that will make me put down my bmb with a open back? I have the mesh backing and love it.

What is the difference in the leather? I have seen a lot of Optimus love lately.

The Limited series gloves are made with the Vinci 5oz kip leather. This leather is very light and very stiff.

Optimus gloves are made with their highest quality 6.5oz (kip I believe) leather. It is much thicker, noticeably heavier, and much more supple than the limited leather

Both gloves are great, just depends on what you are looking for and what your price range is. I got this for a board bro recently (should arrive later this week):

Had a BMB-M, but now I play with the AB 74VM, Have the 13" for IF and breaking in a custom AB 74VM 13.5 with a open back and the Velcro strap for the OF,both are the Optimus leather. Works better for me for the Mod T-Web pocket.

Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference. I've tried A LOT of VINCI models. I've come to the conclusion, I prefer a closed flex back of the TJ over the open backs. It feels more natural to me. Others it doesn't.

I have a 500+ game Limited Series TJ that has taken a lot of abuse. I picked up a custom Optimus TJ late last fall to start breaking in and it's pretty sweet. It does weigh a little more, but to me it's well worth it.

Agree with escort1991. My wife has taken possession of my first AB 74VM. What we both liked about this glove was not only the Mod T-Web but the velcro strap on the wrist that allowed us to keep the glove tight and comfortable on our hand. I loved the glove but decided I wanted one in the Optimus leather. Love the leather and the web of the Mod T-Web but have trouble getting comfortable with the open back on this glove. As I stated in an earlier post, I just stated breaking in a custom a 13.5 custom AB 74VM in the Optimus leather with the velcro wrist strap. All these gloves have the open back, the only difference is 2 of them have the velcro wrist strap. The wrist strap makes the glove easier for me to adjust it to fit my hand like I prefer. On a side note I did have a BMB-B with the closed back. Like the glove but never could keep the glove tight on my hand because the D-ring wrist strap kept loosening up. Sorry for being so long winded, but hope this helps.

Have you tried putting the hand opening to the tightest setting by moving the lace on the open back gloves?

Try the special run of navy blue/white RV60. That is some nice leather.

^^^I agree with this, I've had a few pass through my hands and they are awesome. IMO the RV60s play a bit longer than the BMBs, but I think that is due to the "Dual H Web" style instead of the traditional H web.

If you love the BMB-OB then I don't think you can find anything better. I have tried just about everything but I can't put down my BMB-OB. That being said I still want to give a JD73 a shot. I'm guessing I'll still end up using my BMB though. I play mostly 3B and I like having a little bigger glove.
