Kodi on a fire stick isn't a set it and forget it type thing. new releases come out that require updates, repositories go down and pop up in other locations, builds stop working. you're going to have to troubleshoot this crap at some point, better to understand fully how it works. it's really not that hard.
and forget the fire stick, there are plenty of better options out there that work WAY better. the fire stick is pretty puny because it doesn't have much memory and you can't even load some builds on one. do yourself a favor and get a better piece of hardware to load kodi on. the fire stick is just a device, kodi is what you really want. i'd recommend the raspberry pi. you can get one and everything else for under $100 easy. way more stable, easier to use, future proof (within reason), and easier to load stuff on.
