Lester Oliveros is a relief pitcher for the Minnesota Twins. He has worn a Vinci baseball glove since his time with the Detroit Tigers minor leagues.

“I’ve been using Vinci gloves since 2010,” said Oliveros. “It’s the best glove I’ve used in my career. I like the feel and comfort of the glove. Definitely a winner.”

Oliveros was called up to the Detroit Tigers on July 1, 2011 to replace the injured Al Alburquerque. He appeared in nine games for the Tigers this season. On August 16, Oliveros was traded to the Minnesota Twins. He was assigned to the Rochester Red Wings, the Minnesota Twins AAA affiliate.

“Lester is a really great guy,” said Pete Vinci, owner of Vinci. “He represents Vinci well. He’s a hard thrower with a lot of heart. We would like to congratulate him on his recent call up and wish him the best in the major leagues.”

Oliveros joins several other top athletes in both the American and National League who wear the Vinci brand.

My buddy told me about that this morning. Cool stuff. Would like to see some players other than pitches rocking the Vinci. Must continue to spread the good word.....

I find it interesting that he chose a mesh. When I pitched I liked a heavier glove to help with pulling my left side through.

It's lighter and cooler than the leather model, plus it's more pliable.

We would love to have more players wearing Vinci. We have had other position players who have worn Vinci. Pitchers just love the gloves. ha ha.
