Indys passing offense vs. Houstons pass rush will be a tasty burrito indeed.
Nobody is talking about the Redskins signing Pot Roast but thats a top 1 nickname.
Is this the edge of the tidal change? Opening the door for giving those that may have been on the fence but stuck around cuz they didn't want to appear like a sissy a reason to bail out.
We were already seeing a shift in youth football. Unless someone comes out with some revolutionary helmet the talent pool is going to shrink. We have former stars of the game publicly saying they don't want their kids to play. It will be interesting to see how the NFL handles it. They seem to have a too big to fail attitude.
So what you are telling me is that they are ****ed.
One young guy does not a trend make.
College FB hasn't been bigger. The NFL hasn't been bigger. Both are trending up.
It is not players deciding to voluntarily, or even involuntarily, quit that is the risk. It's lawyers and lawsuits.

I'm not talking about the NFL right at the moment or one single player retiring. I'm talking about the possibility of a shrinking talent pool and how that will affect the NFL years down the road. I could be way off and would like to be wrong.
It could mirror boxings downfall.
Many parents arent letting their kids play football anymore, but you wont see that translate at the college/pro level for years to come. Rinse and repeat and 20 years from now the talent pool has shrunk. 30 years from now its the poor kids playing football because its the only way out. The middle class (mostly white) kids have moved on to la crosse or other sports not football.
The NFLs PR machine was already going full blast with 'The NFL is safer blah blah blah' as soon as Borlands story hit. The evidence suggests otherwise.
In 30 years, the NFL could be like boxing is now. Its still around but it doesnt matter much.
I could be way off also but youth football is trending down every year and thats more than just a coincidence.
Favre, elway, aikman, young, Marino
Damn....that ain't bad though
Jeff George lead the nfl in passing yds, 2nd in Tds and was 4th in qb ratif in 97 for Oakland......i dot even remember that
I don't know how good or bad aikman was. You could be 100% correct...we didnt know how great Ben was until well i to how career.
