I had a long conversation with Demarini about bat weight when I bought the first model he made back in 89-90. I was swinging a 38 oz Easton back then and was dropping bombs onto the SS playing on the next field, so he couldn't get me to try a 26 like he suggested 9 I told Ray, Hey, I'm not dropping down 3/4 of a pound!) but I did get a 28 from him then and there and it was a great bat for years. Ray was a big believer in bat speed and for good reason but he acknowledged that, Yes, you could go too light and lose power. Too heavy or too light same problem. so you need to find the Goldilocks weight for your swing. Ironic isn't it, that the co. using Ray's name, a name founded on cutting edge tech (first double wall barrel etc.) and lighter bats to increase bat speed are now chronically overweight. Yet I just bought a senior Juggy in 25oz (I know they have possible durability issues and no, I haven't weighed it yet but I expect it to be overweight) as a nod to Ray who put me on the right track all those years ago. Bless you, Ray!
Edit: Just weighed the 25oz Juggy at 26.05oz. They can't make a 25oz apparently, but they can market one.
