Getting ready to order a glove from Vinci and am second guessing myself. I have been looking at the BR46 but the more I read the more I see a lot of people loving their TJ's and not very much BR46 love. Anyone have any experience with both?

Get a TJ-Open Back 13.5 well worth it. They both have long finger stalls and deep pockets. I have smaller hands and I have no control with the BR46.

I prefer the TJ, though the leather on the 46 is awesome. 46 just felt unbalanced to me, and I have large hands. My TJ has been through ALOT of games and is holding up just great.

I have big hands as well, it's a squeeze to get into 2x batting gloves.

Another vote for the TJ....

Bought a BR 46 for a friend compared it with TJ. Had both gloves on hand. BR 46 plays bigger then the TJ. Just my opinion. Help this helps

The leather on the TJ an BR46 are the same. Are you thinking of the BR45 maybe?

I prefer the TJ because I like the closed back feels like I have more control and it feels more balanced to me.

Sounds like I may go with the TJ if it's gonna be the same price. Seems like a lot of people prefer it. Can't wait!

The TJ1952 is the most popular pattern I have sold in gloves bigger than 13". I have no personal experience with either though

TJ. I have 4. 1 proto and 1 production(both in my glove case), 2 gamers: 1 Limited(600+ games) and 1 Optimus that's breaking in. It's a great pattern.

I have not worked on a production TJ-OB, but Saint's prototype was 13" even and the closed back I worked on was 13.25". The closed back version is a really nice pattern. And before you worry that 13.25" is smaller than the listed 13.5", the only 13.5" gloves that I have ever found actually measure 13.5" are the Nokona WS1350 and the Glovesmtih 1350USA and those things are ridiculously large. The TJ is probably the largest glove that I have checked out that still feels manageable.

I didn't realize the TJ played small. Interesting.

I measure my Nokona AMG700 (WS1350) at 13.5" and it is a monster. The TJ-1952 I had in to relace was 1/4" smaller by my measure (but I suspect everyone measures slightly differently).

And the TJ I measured (didn't take one with a ball).

I have a used TJ stock in black and an Optimus BR46. I should be able to put picks up in the AM, I say should as I am having some back difficulties. The BR46 is a huge glove, I dont really care for it but, I do have small hands. I may have a few pics let me look...

Yeah I remember you telling me about that Optimus. That leather looks really nice. I just can't pass up the opportunity to order my first custom glove.
OK RV60 13", BR46 14" and TJ1952 13.5"

The BR46 definitely looks taller, but the TJ looks wider. Maybe it's just the pic?

The thing to pay really close attention to here isn't the overall height of the glove. The strap on the top of the BR makes it look WAY taller. Pay more attention to where the web lines up as well as the right corners of the gloves. The BR is definitely a little taller but not as much as that pic would lead you to believe. They will both play about the same width though.

Good catch. I guess that's why you're so good at this stuff. :)

That Optimus leather sure has a good color to it. I just can't justify the price right now.

You're not the first person I've seen say that. I'm going to go all leather on the TJ, but still going with the TJ over the BR46 just because of that.

Good choice. It might play 1/4 " short on some TJs but it is a large glove, wide and deep
