This was exactly what I did too. Helped me learn opposite field but once I started tourney play I stopped. I felt I lost power and the ability to pull the ball as well.

There is a difference between a check swing and a judy. You can hit a judy and still swing through the ball. There is nothing wrong with being able to place the ball and hit with power. I'll do it in league sometimes but I don't have the balls to try it in tourneys yet... you look like a fool...

It kills me how guys like this dude in the video are consider "Great Softball Players" when he couldn't even bend over to field a ground ball... Hitting a ball over the fence does not make a great softball player or athlete. Hell hitting alone doesn't. Great softball players can field too...

My first and only USSSA tourney I've played in we had an opposing pitcher do this. He would even take off his glove and run at us. Crazy dude.. had a mean behind the back pitch though....
